Mount Errigal in County Donegal rises 751m above the surrounding bogland. It is composed mainly of quartzite and has a distinct pinkish glow in the evening light. Legend has it that the Fir Bolg, who originally hailed from Greece, worshipped the mountain because it reminded them of Mt. Olympus in their homeland.
