Originally built in 1817, Fanad Lighthouse, County Donegal, is one of 70 lighthouses around the Irish coast that are operated and maintained by Irish Lights. Fanad is also one of the 12 lighthouses in The Great Lighthouses of Ireland, an all island tourist initiative.
