This magnificent three walled fort of Dún Aengus, extending to 5.6 hectares, is perilously situated on a 100m high cliff on Inishmore in the Aran Islands, County Galway. The fort is over 3,000 years old and excavations of the site reveal extensive prehistoric metalworking, houses and burial grounds.
