Coomshingaun (Hollow of the Ants) is situated in the Comeragh Mountains in County Waterford. Formed by the gouging action of a retreating glacier at the end of the Ice Age, Coomshingaun, with its cliff face rising 300m above the lake, is one of the finest examples of a corrie lake in these islands.
